Thought ya'll might want to see my mom's bull elk she killed Saturday Morning! She took him on a limited entry unit in Utah with her rifle. This is her eleventh bull elk she taken in her life and the biggest! Here's her and my dad with her bull!
She killed the bull on the morning of her 45th anniversary and had her grand-daughter at her side when she took the bull. Dad and my brothers were hiking back to get the 4 wheelers while Mom and Ashley waited on the wheeler trail near a saddle on the ridge. The bulls had been screaming all morning and were starting to settle down so the had decided to regroup at camp. The bull chased his cows up out of the canyon and right through the saddle at 90 yards. Mom actually shot him about 20 feet off of the wheeler trail! Tough pack job eh?
I was at working suffering the can't-go-elk-hunting blues. But I couldnt be happier for a fine lady who is a great hunter and even a greater MOM!
Here's Ashley and the bull.
