I suppose there aren't alot of those Iowa cattle feeders left. :(

My Dad bought calves for one fellow and a old friend from Redstone Montana bought calves for a fellow in Iowa that found his tag in the feed bunk and contacted him about buying for them. As I understand he shipped calves down for quite a few years. :D

I tell you, I played with a bluegrass band in 2003 that played in NE a couple of times that year. I absolutely loved Nebraska! Some mighty fine folks out there. I've travelled all over the lower 48 pickin and singing and I think I'd head to Haigler NE if I had my choice. Your pictures just always remind me of how much I liked it out there and how good everybody was to us, especially the time we had a breakdown out there in Max...

There are wild turkeys in this area, but it is rare when they come on our place. This bunch hasn't been there until the last couple days. I'm not sure where they have spent the rest of the winter. The old gobbler was sure flapping his feathers and acting like a bigshot. :-)
