Tell me how you can remember some talking about the siege when this site was NOT even around untill 12 years later? Really you had internet back then?????
hahahahahahaha your so full of it. Please tell me which sites you were a member? What form of communication did you use to talk to others? Mind you I had internet since ust about the begining...BUT then I lived in a BIG city hahahahahahahahahahahahaha as if you can answer this

You guys really need to go easy on the old one. Remember, he lives in a special place, a special world where facts are trivial things subject to being molded to fit his current circumstances or beliefs. This special world is also an orderly world where everything is black or white, or right or wrong, and where broad, sweeping generalizations about virtually any topic are the norm, not the exception.

For instance, if shown a photo of a ********* rally and a skinhead appears in the background, this allows him to believe that all teabaggers are neo-Nazi, anti-government, and racist. If a conservative voices his disapproval of the heavy-handed tactics by Clinton's AG in the Waco cluster fark, this can be extrapolated to rightwingnuts criticized and chastised the "guvment", law enforcement, and social services for intervening.

Since some posters here from Nebraska would dare to challenge or question his logic on political issues, then when certain residents of the state of Nebraska oppose a pipeline through what they claim to be an environmentally-sensitive area, all residents of Nebraska are conservative, all of them oppose the pipeline, and all of them are now cozy with "greenies" and can also be called NIMBY'ers.

While this type of deductive reasoning might seem strange to the average poster here, even bordering on some sort of mental deficiency, it keeps things simple in what otherwise must be a frightening and complex world to the old man.

This site was around several years before Macon bought it...It was owned by some SD folks....

And even if the Waco incident took place years ago-- there have been rightwingernuts screaming about it ever since then for sometime...

And the radical right were the ones screaming about the seizing of all the Jeff's cults kids by social services...

In Montana- we have laws that are supposed to protect you from any reporting you do to a social/law enforcement agency when you are concerned about childrens/developmentally disableds welfare....But every legislature- the right chips away at those laws- and has social services so scared its hard to get them to take any action....

Dang larry when macon took over he started all over from day one.......I still am waiting on did he have internet hail even in 2000.

Yep-- thats when the changeover on the site took place- but ranchersnet existed before that in another form...

Well, if we needed any further proof that conservatives were against the feds taking those kids away from the nutcase, you've sure taken care of that. Thanks!

And ot you are proof that the cops are the biggest porn watchers. As per your continual references to smut. Youi see cops set around with nothing to do (especially in remote areas) so they watch porn.

Actually he did have sites prior to ranchers.net-- cattletoday...And that was in an old format for years before it took on the looks it has today...And some of the posters from that old site are still on the site today...

I can't remember for sure but I think it was about 2001/2002 I found several of the sites (some of which don't exist anymore).....

hmmmm I know I for one and others I have just asked....most of the things we talked about when we first started chatting ...either ICQ or later msn or as they were called then bulliten boards or balckboards were not that serious. W were just trying to figure out how this worked...later we talked more important issues but I couldnt tell you who said what unless it effected my personal life. So you telling me you remember what others said 10 years ago...

the old board was out of Faith South Dakota..

back then Oldtimer was a far right conservative.. so he might just be remembering the good 'ol days when he posted all those rightwing comments..

Actually- I seldom posted on the old PB site... Didn't start that until I got tired of the same old backslapping posts of folks that called themselves conservatives- but were far from following the old conservative ideals...

I don't think I've been "far" anything...Always been an Independent- and always leaned to the conservative side...More conservative on economical issues- but more libertarian on some social and foreign issues....

But not to the radical extremism some of the current conservativism seems to be heading...The war mongering, invading sovereign nations, foreign aid spending, corporate/banker puppets, and wanting to turn back the clock 100 years on civil rights and social issues is not the conservatism I grew up with...

I look to conservatives like Ike- and Teddy Roosevelt as examples--both who warned us about allowing the growth of "the too big to fails" and fought corporate influence on government...And who knew the only way this country could keep from becoming a third world nation was to keep progressing and not go backwards....

Roosevelt was a liberal for his day. He supported racial intergration, labor protection, environmental protection and anti-trust regulation.
The Republican Party didn't become the contemporary "conservative" party until after the Civil Rights legislation of the 1960s was passed.

Roosevelt was a CONSERVATIONIST .......Conservationists are proponents or advocates of conservation. They advocate for the protection of all the species in an ecosystem with a strong focus on the natural environment. Conservation is a part of the wider environmental movement and promotes humankind's sustainable use of resources and environmental stewardship.

or in simple terms he was for preserving the wilderness.

So being a CONSERVATIONIST is bad :???:

I've always thought of ranchers being some of the best conservationists there are.....And according to what most of them will tell you they do more to preserve the land in a natural enviroment than most others....

WOW you really got that from my post? Being a conservationist is a good thing now being an environmental wacko ( extreme) is a bad thing.
What I was saying you keep saying your a conservitive like roosevelt and I showed you he WAS NOT. Yes he was a "republican" but it was not the same party it is now.
Since my prayers were answered i will say a few for you in hopes they are answered.................................

Sounds as if someone needs a Thesaurus.....

the defn's of conservative and conservationist are a foggy issue to some it seems
