Another 8 pics of bulls I am looking as potentials in an upcoming bull sale. Which is your pick of the bunch? Hopefully they load all right for everyone. I picked #9 and #40 (first and last pics) as my top two, but I was wondering what everyone else thought.

While catalogues and pictures are nice for studying the real test is your actual tour through the sale animals as you select a bull that will complement and add to your present genetics. The Oddan's are some of the nicest people you could ever want to deal with and their cattle have made a positive mark on the industry!

I like 18. He has better wheels and nicer angle in his stifle and hock, and nice rounded ham, also nice muscling along his back.

I like 18 and 10. 18 seems to have better legs under him (althought 10 takes a prettier picture  ) But there is only one bull i do not like and that is 36 he is just too average for me. BUT there is nothing there that is bad or ugly! I think anyone of them could potentially give you nice calves!

Its been along time since I looked for a Hereford. But I was always told to look for pigmentation around the eyes and color on the scrotum.

I'm not a Hereford man but I like 10 the best from what I see. I don't know Hef. pedigrees so It is only eye appeal.
Have you looked at NR's bull in the Genex Catalog? Could breed quite a bunch for what the bull will cost you.

My vote would be for #18. I like his red neck and pigment around the eyes and scrotal area. Then breed him to Angus cows. The offspring would be good conservatively marked baldie calves. The steers would feed out great and the heifers would make dandy future cows.

I have seen NR's bull in the Genex catalog. Tank dried up 2 years ago. Not 100% if it was because it failed, or if the supplier just missed us on his rounds (which he has done)....it's in the past and at this point in time I am not too interested in knowing which one it is (especially if I have to buy a new tank). We only AI'ed the odd few anyways because there is no one in the area to do sync', and we don't have the corral facilities to make that an easy process anyways. I do like that bull of NR's though.
