Been finding enough cows from the home range to keep me busy enough to not go through the Morrison Meadow blacks in the last days. Took a few more photos of calves this morning on a salt and mineral run.

Kind of a plain heifer.

Likely a replacement. Her sisters have been good.

All around the salt box. The cattle I brought home yesterday hadn't seen it in a while.

A Hereford in the hay. This calf can only be 1/4 Hereford at most. His Daddy was most likely a Semi x Red Angus. They show up like this occasionally. Good calf nonetheless.

Real nice soggy looking calves!

Took the words right out of my mouth!!!

Kola wouldn't think either one of you are being very complimentary. She thinks "soggy calves" are legs from the knee to the ankle with too much fat and cellulite.

Gcreek, I too like your calves. They are soggy, robust, happy, and healthy.

Looking good!! When do the calves go?

They have been sold directly to a ranch/feedlot in northern Alberta. We deliver to the scale at Alexis Creek on Oct. 30. Hopefully have them all found by then. We are about 75% accounted for now.

Looking good gcreek, they're kinda like you.... eventually find there way home, nice hair coat and soggy.
