Those are cool canes, Soapweed, and I bet they are very functional!!

The only thing our daughter was afraid of was a toy metal locomotive when she was little. We still have it, it sits on the mantle-I think it's a collectors item by now--but her son, our grandson, was afraid of that train just like his mom!! He loved trains, all but that one.

I bet your grandkids know "Thomas the Tank Engine" Song by now.

Great pictures! I always write down on the calendar or make sure I take a picture of the first robin I see every year.
