It's a good thing one member of the family has talent Silver! :D Those pictures are calender worthy! And Having kids willing and excited to help is one of lifes greatest joys. :D
 
Thanks for the nice pictures...Theres nothing prettier than a picture of a little kid and a newborn calf. Keep that picture at the top of the pile or put it on the refrigerator door.

Oh but that's the truth. She only keeps me around because I make her laugh. But I'm starting to think she may me laughing at me, not with me :shock: :lol:
 
Love your daughter's heart. Those momma cows are serious about protecting those babies- they've got the stink eye going on!

The metal clip has a number stamped on it that we record on the heifer calves birth records. When she loses her dangle tag at some point down the road we can replace it with her origanal number. Usually next calving time or at preg testing. This saves many long arguements and helps us better keep track of family lines.

so are they put on like a US bangs tag is or the same type clip? i tattoo them for that reason. do they ever loose those metal clips - sometimes the cow here will loose a bangs clip/tag? if those stay in and are quick easy to put on that might be something to try on the commercial females. thanks in advance.

I don't know if "Joe Producer" can order from Ketchum or have to order through Kane in Edmonton. I just order them through the store in Big Beaver.
They have the Bangs type tamper proof ones as well.
