Love to see the newness of a spring calving season.

It is starting to green up here to. Today was one of the days Indiana is famous for. I experienced two blizzards with snow blowing crossways at 50 MPH with bright sunshine and no wind at all in between, then a thunder storm then light rain then more sun that would blind you. It finally reached a high of about 45 and all is calm out with warm weather forcast with little rain for the next five days. My cattle should start calving in about a week. I know it happens every year but I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas and can't keep from walking thru them several times a day in anticipation.

I should have some great smokies this year. I already have several 4H ers wanting to see them.

You guys sure have nice stock Nicky. Stout, square looking cattle with some meat on them. Good job. :!:

Actually we have had several brockle faced calves out of some of our purchased cattle this year. Today had a red brockle face, as a couple of the bulls used on them had red a gene, and the cow was a black baldie.

We won't mention the charolais(sp) calves we have been getting in the cows we bought, that were bred angus (hmmm).
