Muck Boots?

I've always liked the LaCrosse brand lace-up boot overshoes. They are also made in China, and I've heard that they are no longer being made, period. They just last better than the other brands of boot overshoes.

Even good old Wilson boots are made in Mexico, though the "company" is headquartered in Livingston, Montana. Guess a person either has to resign themselves to buying foreign-made footwear or go barefoot.

Ran into the same deal myself. Ordered a pair of boots from Montana Boot Co., found out they are located in Henrietta, TX & having the boots made in Mexico :???: Cancelled the order, after waitin 21 weeks for the boots and still haven't got my deposit back Probabaly find out that their bookkeeping department is located in India or somethin :evil:

Ditto on looking at label of jeans...shirts...socks...etc. could really frost a body's hind end. Not good for blood pressure either.

I have owned Muck Boots and Bog boots...I had a leaning towards Bog Boots as they are Headquartered out of Oregon...My preference is Muck Boots...See, th Muck Boots are molded seamless and just better bult..

As far as use....Someone mentioned sweaty feet...Roll Down the tops and your feet can breath when it gets warmer....As far as riding, i wouldn't recommend that. But this time of year, a lot of the chores are out of the saddle.......

My wife gets kinda mad.....She doesn't like the idea that she looks forward to these as a birthday present, LOL..

WE do Love our Muck Boots...There is a reason they are more spendy than traditional rubber boots..THEY ARE DAMB COMFORTABLE!

Any boot that I wear will come off pretty easy, if I would ever hang in a stirrup. If they don't come off easy, I won't wear them and wonder about those who do. :roll:

That is why I don't even like lace-up leather packer boots. That and the fact I'm too lazy to want to lace them up. :wink:

Yup. That is a deciding factor for me also. Life is too short to have to lace and unlace boots, everyday.

Here's what we wear in the winter-really light on your feet and super warm-never hang up in a stirrup either. nothing beats wool in really cold weather. If it gets real cold we wear moosehide moccasins over the wool socks and put a felt insole in the overshoes.

I got my first pair a month ago. Overall I love 'em, very comfortable. Two issues though. First when I tried wearing my pants over the outside it chaffed my calves (not my baby cows), second last weekend I wore them all day Saturday and the got damp from sweat and were cold the next day. I don't have a boot dryer so I took a two long strips of cardboard, shreaded one end and put them in the boots, set the boots in front of thre fire with the shreaded end out. Overnight drys them out pretty good. No regrets on the purchase

L.E.- I believe I would talk to the highest Executive in the company that I could contact, and explain to him, in strong, One Syllable Words, that I expected my deposit returned - NOW! or my Attorney would be in touch with them SOON!. You see - they are earning $$ Interest on the "float" of your deposit. I would also demand the Interest that they have earned, plus punitive damages for "Mental Stresses" incurred!
