Must be spring

Must be springtime in Montana, went from nice and warm to 4 inches of snow over night. There are some blackbirds, bluebirds and a pine grosbeak around. And of course the tom turkeys are gobbling up a storm. Speaking of storms, we have been getting thunder out of snow clouds.

Loaded up my Redneck Easter basket and dog and headed out in the snow

The gophers are up, who will win the standoff?

Love the pics Our daughters been out ridding our population of gophers.

Are the turkeys mean? My niece Jodi is raising some for the fish and game,one Tom has gotten particularly mean and chases the kids to and from the School bus.

I love the pictures of the turkeys. I don't have a gopher getter he's more a gopher barker. Lucky you to have the getter kind.

Those turkeys are not even close to being mean, I cannot figure out what the big deal is hunting them, ours must be mentally challenged cause you can yell almost anything at them or a dog bark and this time of the year those toms will gobble back. You can walk pretty close to them and I have never had one act mean. They will get into any grain around and make a mess of any hay bales with grain in them. They are fun to tease with a hen call!!!!!!
