I could be wrong about this. There are about five troughs that have water piped to them that I believe could be managed by the BLM.
There is one well with a pump that is piped to numerous troughs and two springs they pipe water out to troughs.
The cowboys have about six troughs that have water piped to them in the area where I've been taking most of my pictures. Further South East, there are a lot of troughs that I think the cowboys installed and ran the water to. They only turn the water on to those troughs when they have their cows out there. When the weather gets cold enough to freeze the troughs, both cows and horses seem to get along by eating snow. This year there hasn't been much snow, but the horses seem to be doing OK. Both cows and horses use any water they can find. One outfit runs seven thousand head out there and further north. The mustangs don't mix with the cows much. They usually go up on the high ridges where the wind has blown the snow off the grass. I hope this all make sense/ gotta run, the wife calls.
