"In every life,,,, there must be a little rain." Just a fact that we all have to live with. I didn't check out the weather, and paid the price. I went to the desert by myself on the spur of the moment. For a while I though the storm would move to the east, the way the wind was blowing, but in the end, It covered the whole Cedar Mountain area.
The first few pictures I took before the rain started, but the last few were taken out of the truck window. I counted about 75 head in bands of around 25 in each bunch. Most were too far off for pictures.
The blue roan stud had his own ideas on which way they should go.
The rain was coming down pretty hard and I was able to drive up close before they noticed I was there.
It's frustrating to not be able to get good pictures, but this band of mustangs will not cooperate like their cousins further south. With the same amount of time and effort spent, the quality of pictures have an very noticeable difference in quality, mostly attributed to the rain. However I was more than happy to see it rain, in the desert. Maybe now we will see some grass, instead of just "sunflowers."
