At first I was worried this fool would spook the whole band, but they didn't pay near as much attention to him as I did. He would buzz me, and then make a big circle and come back for another attempt. I figured he was trying to scare me away. I'd bluff him out, and he'd be gone for a minute of two.

This gray was trying to impress the grula, but he wasn't having any of it.

I didn't get a picture of the big event, I was too busy kicking up my own dust. The gray got his feet tangled up while running from the grula, and I had to get out of the way or get rolled over top of.

It looks like the gray doesn't know when to give it all up as a bad effort.

This is about how it all ended.

Intermission-----

Curious and Cute,,,, at about eight feet.

Friendly and Curious,,

Curious, friendly and making me a little nervous. His definition of play could definitely make my head hurt.

Another disagreement---

We found them about noon. They had been to water and was grazing away from it, up the country. I guess it was too late in the day to do much fighting. 120 head, the most I've seen in one band for about three years.

Those are fascinating photos again, as always! What a privilege to get in so close and almost too personal at times, by your description!

Thanks for posting!
