I was excited to find that the mustangs had moved back into this part of the country. It's been three or four years sense we found any there. Two weeks ago while I was headed home about dusk, I happened to see a bunch of dust and mustangs coming on the run toward the water. I thought at the time I'd like to be ready for them a little earlier in the day.

Two weeks later I scouted out a place to hide my truck and a good spot to hide out. I don't have the words to express the excitement I felt watching the dust cloud build and then to see those mustangs coming on the run. They passed within thirty yards of where I was, never looked my way.

Two bands coming down two different trails. It was hard trying to keep track of both at the same time.

The sun was getting low in the west, there was a cool breeze and some of them had to stop and play around a little.

"The warrior."

I'd like to have this one in my back yard.

Some came on the run, and some just took their time.

There were over a hundred head all together. Something most people will never have the privilege to to see.

Sure am glad I took the time to look back a ways and find these great pictures!

Those horses are endlessly fascinating. They look to be in pretty good shape and like they are enjoying their lives.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

It makes my little heart skips a beat to find another others who appreciates the mustangs. I want to thank all three of you for your interest in the pictures and mustangs in general.

Wonderful Pictures! It appears that you live in a area that has been managed properly to keep the feral horses in check. Currently there are 50,000 Feral horses in feed lots and that many again on Private and public land. It cost's the American taxpayer $4.00 Per day per horse to hold them in long term holding facilities, this is at a cost of $72Million per year. Since you so enjoy the feral horses give me your address and I will send you a semi load, and you wont have to wait 3-4 yrs to see them again, and you can also feed them and relive the taxpayer from the burden. The BLM feral horse issue is a national disgrace, and condoning it is just postponing the inevitable. There populations are unsustainable, unlawful and unethical. Stallions need to be gelded, and populations need to be maintained as per HMA quota's. For years local Indian's gathered feral horses and sold them to the highest bidder, this intern gave them a economical value insuring there future in the west, today they have no economical value and no future.

Hey! We know all that. We are just enjoying 'mustangs' pictures of mustangs....right, wrong or otherwise. Mustang isn't condoning anything that I know of. He is sharing his hobby...which is wonderful photos we get from no one else. He can't fix the worlds problems and he's not harming anything by sharing his pictures. So please don't carry this further and ruin it for the rest of us who like to view the photos of different country. He has wheted our appetite to see that wild and beautiful part of Utah.

The American feral horse needs to be shown for what it is, A FERAL HORSE. If the reality of the truth is not displayed the truth will never be heard or seen. Like I stated Wonderful pictures. But we as ranchers ,farmers, hunters, and out door enthusiast's, need to stop fueling our own demise. Every time we idolize a picture or a phrase in reference to feral horse to anything other than what they are we loose. With the statement that it has been three or four years since he has seen them in his area gives the activists ammunition to use in the fight. We all need to realize that this is a extremely difficult battle and it is in black and white, and we need to be conscious of what we say and how we say it. And if that offends someone so be it.

Idolize? Is that another word for 'enjoy'?

I doubt if 'mustangs' photos have much if any bearing on the fight to keep the wild horses.........which has been going on for years.
They are simply....photos.

If that offends someone, so be it.

Have a wonderful rest of the evening. I am.

I enjoy the feral horses as well, But here in Nevada it is a serious problem. This Video is well done and is the reality that few can seem to accept.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeDTpTr_BwE&feature=youtu.be

May I suggest that if you don't agree with what I put on Coffee Shop, don't open the post. No one I know of, cares about your diatribe and it should be posted on Political Bull anyway.
