The desert was nice today, except for the flying ants. Bug spray took care of that for the most part. There was a breeze from the south and we were lucky enough to find two bands, a total of about 110 head. The first band had their heads down all the time we were there. The second band was through grazing and was standing around swatting flies and wishing it was cooler.
My friend got some close-ups of the gray. I told him if he'd jump on his head and hold him down until I could get a rope on him, we'd take him home. He said he didn't want to get his Levies dirty.

This little guy is the one born with a bad knee. He doesn't look too good, but he's hanging in there.
This is his cousin, and he a deformed right ankle.
