The last time we were out there checking up on the mustangs was before it snowed much. We stopped along the road to glass the area and saw about fifty head strung out for half a mile, headed for water. By the time we caught up with them they had encouraged the cows to move far enough to take over the trough.

It don't look like they approve.

There is always some argument as to has the next turn at the water.

Some had a little more patience.

Some felt so good they just ran around showing off.

When they were all full of water,, over the ridge they went on the run. .

Back on the main road, we headed south and fond about thirty head, including "The Family."

Gypsy seemed overly friendly and came right up to me. About twenty feet out she turned of, watching me with one eye and with a slight smile on her face. Her color is sure bleached out compared to what it was in the summer. She is showing her age a little. Giving birth to seven colts has taken a toll.

Peanut is looking good, going into winter.

Fred is growing up, he's just over a year old. He's sure changed color from when he was born.

Fred's little sister, Gracie is looking good along with their mother, she is Gypsy's second colt.

Gracie is trying to hide from the cold breeze that was making my nose sweat.
