Here's my pearl. Her color reminded me of a black pearl.
She's 4 yrs old in this photo. She's the only horse I have
ever found that I could ride 6+ hours and not have an aching back or knee. The cadillac ride - purebred Peruvian Paso.

I've been told that the dapple grey will eventually turn white as she
gets older...hope not.

Dad had a grey dapple appy.....as it got older turned pure black, local R.C.M.P.officer bought him for musical ride.

AWWWWWWWWW I LOVE the pasos. She will not turn ALL white but a sorta greyish white. She will prob have some of her dapples left.
Kaitlyn showed pasos for 3 years mostly western pleasure and horsemenship. She did local shows and 4H with hers.
Gotta LOVE thier gait and them being shorter easier to get on and off LOL helps when you get toward middle age LOL
You should have entered her she is a beauty. :D

The greys are not the favored color in this breed. In the purebred
shows, I think the chestnut color is the most favored, followed by
black, bay and the seal brown. But the dapple grey is my favorite.
We don't participate in the shows---just trail ride whenever the
chance arises.

Actually Pearl is 14 hands high, and is really a little tall for me.
I have a reservation to breed her next spring to a black
stallion that was imported from Peru a couple of
years ago:

He is about 2 or 3 inches shorter than her---I'm hoping for a filly
that looks just like Pearl, but just a little shorter.
