I've enjoyed everyone elses pictures, so I thought I'd try to do a few of my own on here since I'm fairly new to this. These are NOT Belted Galloways. They are Buelingos.

It's lunchtime.

They are babied a tad.....I only have a handful of cows, so when it was cold outside, they were able to come in.

I started calving on the 12th of February and finished on March 8th....just before it really got muddy.

An old classmate of mine has about 30 of those Oreo cows- and 15-20 black/white paint/pinto horses-- and they look pretty neat running together out in the pasture...

Plumberbutt, Glad ya got the pictures up! They are great. Sorry for calling them Belted galloways in the PM. That is a neat area you live in. :D Now that you have the hang of the pictures we all expect many more to follow. What made ya choose Buelingo cattle? How do the calves sell?

Thanks for all the kind words. Ya'all will laugh when I tell you how I decided on the Buelingos. My wife wanted some that were "cute" and I had to have the frame and muscling I was use to growing up. I really love blacks and the black/baldies, but wife won or I should say we both really did. I now just need more pasture so I can keep growing. A neighbor not too far away had some and when I saw them, I knew they would make her happy. :lol: :D :lol:

Gotta' keep the wife happy so you can keep hauling cattle home :wink:

Didn't the vet at Shaunavon, Sask. start the breed originally-I A'I'ed my buddy's wife's Buelingo cow Brahma fpor a joke so I had a half buelingo rodeo bull for awhile-hewas a nice little bucker.

From Google;
The BueLingo breed was developed by Russ Bueling, a respected cattle rancher and grain farmer from the Sandhills of South Eastern North Dakota along with Alfred Ostrum and with the assistance of Russ Danielson, Professor of Animal Science at North Dakota State University.

A composite breed, the distinctive belt is largely derived from the Dutch Belt dairy cattle infused with genetics from Scotch Highland, Belted Galloway, Angus, Chianina, Limousin, and Shorthorn cattle. Cattle can be polled or horned.
