...way too fast. He is now 13 years old and in 7th grade, playing football.
I had problems getting good photos on the field, but I did get a couple to share with you here. Of course, he is very handsome and talented!!

And here he is after the game, with his mother. (His team lost by one point)...

GOSH, these pictures are BIG. How do I make them smaller?

one solid looking ball player!

how come you never gave his mother my phone number??? just something about cowgirls......

Nice picture of your daughter and your grandson. You have every reason to be very proud. Tell your daughter "hi" for us. It was nice meeting her and her husband, and you and Mr. FH a year and a half ago at the BHSS. Keep clickin' pictures. It is as much fun looking at other folks' photos as it is to take 'em. :-)

Nice strong good looking boy. I know you are proud of him.
And a great lookin daugther too. Y'all sure know how to grow em up your way.

Ya know once they start sports..you'll never be home! You just gotta be there for all the games..lol Even though our son is done with football...we still go and watch our "other" kids...it's fun to stay up with the kids. Great looking family!

Thank you everyone, for your kind comments. Our family is so small, I really envy those of you who have large families
and are involved with them.

I've never cared much for football, but I did watch this game all the way
through and it was pretty interesting. It's amazing what grandkids teach you!! He really is the joy of my life and
there is only him, no more... :cry2:

I was an only child, she is an only child and now he is an only child.
It just isn't FAIR...but I have to live with it...cuz what else can I do?
I'm just thankful I have them.

Yes, Jassy, I plan to go to every game he is in. I think his parents are only going to let him play football as they live
so far from town...makes it hard to get him back and forth.

Anyhow, thanks again!

WOw!!! he has grown. I remember you postin a pic of him I think it was at a weddin, outside by a car or soemthin. If that's the same kiddo.......what's she feedin him???? Vigortone? LOL

It'll mean so much to him that you make his games.

It's really hard watchin em grow up. But fun at the same time. Lil Lilly has a drivers license now and drives herself to school, and to her afternoon job after volleyball practice. We prepare them their whole lives to be independant, and when that time comes it's so hard to let em.

FH----where does the time go??? Bet it seems like just yesterday that your precious little girl was that age!!!  One good looking boy and one proud looking mama!!! Gonna have to chop that boy off at the knees, however, before he passes mama in height!!!

I might have to teach that boy to skate when he comes up here lol. Tell him to keep working out so he can pull those big fishes out of the water here. How good a swimmer is he-spearfishing is a blast too.

He absolutely LOVES football. It's done him a world of good. I think part of it is that someone tells him what to do besides mom or dad. And I can see he is starting to THINK on his own--not playing ball of course, but in other areas of his life. He's had it kind of tough with his folks getting divorced when he was only 6 years old. But they both love him and spend time with him and both have been going to his games. I think that is really important.

They won their game last night...finally. 22 to 8...I'll post another photo or two today when I have more time. He plays offense, but next game he will play center. There is one kid on that team that is phonomenal. He plays all positions and excels at them. Man, he made an awesome run for a touchdown; in fact 2 awesome runs for 2 touchdowns. It was amazing to see. The crowd was on their feet!!!

Someone asked him later where he learned to run like that and he said, "I watched the movie, Seabiscuit."

Yes, NR, little Jack (my grandson has a name, so guess I will start using it) can really swim well. Spends a lot of time at the pool in the summer time. He'll be excited about spearheading.

Thanks for caring, everyone!!

He's the same boy that was in the what were they Christmas pictures? He has really matured, and handsomely!
