you folks have heard so much about him and all that we have been through that I thought I should share a picture of him.....remember, though, that his COPD is eating him away and if you had seen him 6 years ago when my mom died, you would not recognize him today!! He is only 58 years old...he will be 59 in September!! He is my hero!!

Thanks ranchwife for posting his picture. He still has ALOT of life left in them eyes :D ...the copd might be wrecking havioc on his breathing but not his soul.
You have a wonderful man to have as a hero.

when we speak on the phone and he has to catch his breath every 3 or 4 words, it tears my heart apart!! I usually end the conversation choking on my tears!!! Everyday, I thank God that he was sent into my life and has been the "father" that most only wish they had!

Wish I could say something to make you feel better, but I can't. Enjoy him while you have him. Mines been gone for 12 years and I still miss him. Went to his youngest brothers funeral yesterday and realized I no longer have any uncles left. Guess I'm gettin' old. :(

Very nice post ranchwife, enjoy him while ya have him, which I'm sure you do. nothin like havin a dad that is your hero. I know I feel the same way about my daddy. They just dont make em like that anymore.

It's time that I pay tribute, to the man I call my dad.
Lately I've been remembering, the good times and the bad.
When you came into my life, little did I know,
The effect that you would have on me, and how my love would grow.
I won't ever forget things we've shared, things that we've been through,
Will never forget your laugh and the funny things you do.
All the time spent camping and trying to catch some fish,
And making chocolate malts, those are times I miss.
I will always remember, mom would try to hide,
When you would act goofy and wave, to strangers passing by.
Walking me down the aisle, on my special day
Was the man nearest and dearest to me, in a very special way.
Holding all my babies on the day of their birth,
These are things I'll cherish, from your time on earth.
Your unfailing love for mom, I will never ever forget,
I'm so glad you were there with me, on the day her fate was met.
You are such a part of me, from the bottom of my heart,
When it comes to being a dad, you have done your part.
Thank you for everything, the memories that we've had,
You are not just my hero, I proudly call you dad.

Ranchwife,
you probably thought I forgot about that one, had to hunt but I found it, it had to go with his picture didn't it? Sure wish the lower elevation would of helped more. That was the hardest thing to type ever, don't know why the key board was so blurry. :???:

I know it Hard but Try to hold all that back - - He knows - Makes him feel twice as bad:
He Feels Bad, He Feels Your Pain
and that makes him Feel Guilty Also :!:

I know - I had to keep my wife Laughing Right Up To The End :D :D :D :D

When It's my Time I KNOW V_Key will Feel Bad :!:
My Hope is that I can Leave Her Laughting.
A Father/Mother never wants to see their child cry :!:
