My youngest daughter Emily-the girl looks good in orange.

Emily has a 788 in 6mm and Sara has a carbine 788 in .243 both are sweet little guns-we don't have real good optics on them but the kids seem to hit what they shoot at. I shoot a BBR .270 and Ty has a Tikka T3 in 25.06 it's a sweet gun.

I have an old Model 99 Savage saddle carbine in 250 Savage caliber-- with as even as old 3X9 cheapy Bushnell scope on it--that I , the wife, and the kids have taken numerous deer/coyotes with and and it still hits just where I sighted it in for 30 years ago--- and the only complaint I have is somewhere in the years I lost the front sight- which I need to replace someday if I ever use it for a saddle rifle again without a scope (which is doubtful)...

Used to love to shoot gophers with it- but the price of ammo anymore only allows me a few during the summer to make sure its sighted in-- and then I have to switch back to the .357 rifle or the 22-250 to blow them out of the holes....

The beautiful weather we're having- my 87 year old uncle that has one of the original 250's- with octagon barrel- told me he plunked a couple of fat gophers the other day- while down hunting the beavers that are creating wrack and ruin in the creek....

I have the 788 in a 7/08 carbine I sure like this little rig. I also have a model 7600 in 270 & 243. My 270is my go to gun for everything but that may change now since i got the 7/08.
