The University of Nebraska at Omaha remained the No. 1-ranked NCAA Division II football team in the College Sports Report rankings that were released today.

UNO (5-0) defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 45-15 on Saturday at Caniglia Field in a North Central Conference game. The Mavericks will not play next Saturday, and their next game is Saturday, Oct. 13, at North Dakota (5-0), which is ranked No. 3.

South Dakota, another NCC team, is No. 20 with a 3-2 record. Among other NCC members, Minnesota State-Mankato is No. 27, Minnesota-Duluth is No. 47, St. Cloud State is No. 53, Western Washington is No. 62 and Augustana is No. 81.

Chadron State (5-0) is ranked No. 5, Northwest Missouri State (3-1) is No. 14 and the University of Nebraska at Kearney is No. 30 at 2-2.

The nation's No. 2 team is Grand Valley State of Michigan (4-0). The rest of the Top 10 consists of No. 3 North Dakota, No. 4 Valdosta State, No. 5 Chadron State, No. 6 Delta State, No. 7 Tarleton State, No. 8 West Texas A&M, No. 9 North Alabama and No. 10 Tuskegee.
 
I took my boy to a Chadron game, and they are good. THe fast guys are D1 fast but small - the big guys are D1 big but a little slow. THat running Back could get pt about anywhere, I wish he were a Jayhawk.
