NEED HELP FROM MB

I used to work at HSC, fresh out of school. Know the neighbourhood quite well. So....... Don't stay too close. It's not a good neighbourhood. :shock: Really! We know people who got a room at one real close to the hospital, on Notre Dame, thinking it would be handy, and there was a shooting there. :shock: :shock: :shock:

Is he going to be in for long? If so, there is a Ronald McDonald house close by.

Are you comfortable driving in the city? We have family there, so don't stay in too many hotels, but there are good ones out Polo Park way, that wouldn't be too bad of a drive. Clarion, CanadInn's are good, and there are a whole bunch near the airport, but you may find that too long of a drive. As for the downtown hotels, I would lean toward the big ones right on Portage, but check out the prices first. :!:

The CanadInn next to the casino on McPhillips would not be a bad drive either. Just go south on McPhillips and then east on William and you'd be at the hospital. You can get to it easily from the north perimeter too. Go to Yahoo maps and check it out.

Hope you don't have to stay in long, and everything is fine.
 
I dont know how long you staying for, or what your going in for but when mom was in for her cancer treatment we stayed there.

Lennox bell is like part of the hospital. And the only one we have stayed at, pretty nice.

WE ARE ONLY STAYING OVER NIGHT SO WE CAN SEE A SPECIALIST IN THE MORNING THEY BOOK IN THE MORNING FOR MOST OUT OF PROVINCE APPT. FROM WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME. NOT SO NICE WHEN 4.5 HOUR DRIVE SO WE ARE STAYING IN TOWN. WOULD LIKE TO GET ONE WITH A POOL. MIGHT STAY AT DAYS IN ON MCPHILLIPS IF IT ISN'T TOO FAR. NOT TOO COMFORTABLE DRIVING IN CITY ONLY BEEN TO WPG A FEW TIMES.
 
a pool would be great he is a little bummed out because it will just be him and his little sister going with us leaving the other three at grandma and grandpas place. i think he will miss his brothers
 
forgot that it was the brier this week in winnipeg. hard to find a hotel to stay at even lots of no vaccancies. ended up staying at the Best Western on Pemina, lady at the desk printed of directions to the Health Science Centre, wow that place is bigger than my hometown :shock: everything went well with appointment have a follow up in august.
