The most stressful time of the year is now! The whole prairie is dried up! Does anyone know why cows won't eat the dead grass? A man who is helpin us told me that if you give them a certain mineral, it makes them eat the dead grass. Well what sucks is when your a rancher but you cant hardly afford the hay or mineral! The prairie is kinda big, so we got about 20 round bails, this hay has mineral mixed in it. And we are puttin straight mineral out for the cows too. The pond is completly dried up, so they cows and horses are livin out of a bunch of horse troughs. Those are hard to keep up with too. Right now we are tryin to find a lease to buy. The prairie was daddy's favorite place to be, and mine too. Unfortunatly, we didnt own it. It was daddy's first wife's mother's. Well she is kinda old now and her jackass of a son is contolling her now, and tellin her what to do, in other words, he is making us move. But here is the deal, I cant count how many times me, my brother and daddy spent days fixin fence that that idiot put up that aint worth crap. And we gave The woman who owns it, half of the money we made from steer crop! So this land ive grown to love, is being taken away. BUT.....Its gonna bite that jackass in the butt one day and he is gonna be beggin us back, but I hope EVERYTHING he owns gets takin from him. He has no right to mess with my family. The only reason why he didnt kick us off before was because he wasnt man enough to face my daddy, even when daddy was sick and dien in the bed! So when we leave, I hope MY cows have already eatin the hay and mineral, if not, I'll make it where nothing else can!

Well now cowhunter might be gone but his spirit sure lives on in his daughter! You are a tough one just like your Dad and I know you will make it where ever you are.

I hope you can find everything you need and get a good shot of rain. Somebody gave me some good advice the other day - don't waste too much energy on people who don't deserve it. Put it to better use somewhere else.

All the best to you little cowhunter.

Thanks, and that is true. I shouldnt spend all my time and thought on someone like him. I know that whatever happens, God is in control, and God will provide. Thanks for the advice, God bless!

A little protein supplement will help those cows digest the dormant grasses. As far as the other just remember this. (God Will Get'em in the end) Sooner or later bad deeds tend to backfire and bite a guy in the rear.
