Well, Hanta and I went to Billings today, had a doctor's appointment for my knee, found out I'm ok and I can play sports :lol:

Went school shopping

When we got home, sw came up to me and said we have a problem. I asked why...he was all, "Well, I just got a very disturbing call from a guy in Georgia, about things you did." I was like...ook, what did I do?? He looked at me....you won a deer hunting trip to North Carolina!" and started laughing. I thought I was going to die. Talk about freaked out...and excited!!

This is way cool. I entered this contest months ago, not really thinking anything of it. They chose 5 girls and 5 boys, ages 10 to 15, to go on this hunt. They provide lodging, meals, licenses and hunting fees, full camo, boots, a bag full of accessories, and a rifle with a scope! I don't know what caliber, the website mentions Savage 243's.

It's only a three day thing-arrive Friday, hunt Saturday, and leave Sunday. The guy who owns the ranch we're hunting on has a son in the Marines who's on his second tour in the Middle East. But the cool thing is, the guy invited sw's man, so we might be able to get his commanding officer to let him go on leave at the time of the hunt, which would make it even more special!

Just thought I'd share in my excitement for the day. I feel lucky :lol: let's buy lottery tickets! haha

Wel, M.C., I'm sure happy for you! It will be a trip to remember and I hope you get yourself a trophy for sure.

At the least you will have a great hunting experience. If sw's man could go along, that would be the icing on the cake!

MCG...that's the ' flat' part of NC.

The Western tip, closer to me, will look at lot more like ' home' to ya!

Awsome you will have a great time in that area.
Dont worry Charlotte is not that flat. Its also pretty green There are alot of things you can do in the area if you can stay an extra day or two. Hope my hometown gives you a big welcome ( Im sure they will) and you have a great time.
