Wow.. lot's to watch out for.. I'll see if I can hold my own. Getting a little cabin fever here... lots to do, but would rather play cribbage or drink coffee with someone.. Of course, the solitude is why we live in these open spaces right.... now only if I could teach that dog to deal....

ya know I lived in the Hill Country once.. between Comfort and Welfare.. in some ways I think I am still there :) It is warmer, that I'll give you.. but in Montana if it's gonna bite us, we can hear it coming !! (That includes the mosquitos!)...

Yeah,I eat lunch there pretty regularly,I ranch in Sisterdale so its close,good food there,what part of Montana are you in ?
Do you know that ole geezer that posts this board called Old Timer,he ranches in Montana ,wonder he aint got in here to welcome you................good luck
 
Next time you are in there.. ask for Carol and tell her Cindy in Montana says hello. I keep promising a visit, but it's been a year or two. I am SE of Bridger.. near the Pryor Mountains and just a tiny bit from Wyo. Find Billings on the map and head SE.

I miss Rudy's BBQ as well.. and all the good hill country bands and bars.. dancing in Bandera and Floores Country Store... You've no idea how warm and welcoming Texas sounds right now!

I will tell her in a day or 2,been kinda limpin around here,was in south Texas visitin and shoed a couple horses had one step on my foot,no big deal just has me close to the house.

I been busy this morning just trying to thaw out :shock: Anyway Welcome DblDoc...
Bridger is quite a few (300 miles ) south of me...Regretfully today- I am a lot closer to Big Beaver and the frigid north :wink: ....
I kind of wanted to head that direction this weekend for the Chase Hawks rodeo in Billings-- but I think this weather may keep me too busy at home...

Ya know, neither of them sounds familiar.. I know ranchers out this way mostly by last name...alot of places have been bought out around here by corporations...I am lucky to still be on a 'family' outfit..

I have tickets to the dinner/dance at the Holiday.. get out here.. supposed to warm up by the weekend.. besides it is the last big Billings event until Midland Bull Sale!
