The people at Sargents Western World called me less than an hour ago and I dont really want to work there because they made it sound like the job sucked big time when they described it to me at the interview almost 2 weeks ago. If my friend comes through, I will have a job on a ranch, fixin fences and wranglin cattle. Right now I work on a small time operation. My question is, If these people took 2 weeks to contact me about work, should I even actually work there?

Maybe they had a closing date on resumes that they were waiting for or weren't sure they needed someone until now.
If you go to this job thinking you are not going to like it you probably won't.

hi cowboy up
i worked at sargents in dallas years ago
i had gotten broke on a bronc and couldn't do much horseback so i got me a town job for awhile
it wasn't two bad and i met some nice folks
but my advice to you is to find a ranch where you can learn something if thats what you want to do with your life
and a rule i still go by is to never take a job where i don't respect the boss and the thay are a better hand than i am
good luck
jerry

Sometimes you have to take a job to get where you want to be. Even if you take it and dont like it you are still getting paid, which pays the bills.
Good luck in getting to where you want to be.
