Here's the latest one I got done. I've been riding it without the cantlebinding, as I wasn't too sure I had the ground seat the way I wanted it and it's a lot easier to fix before you sew on the cantlebinding, than afterwards. My butt is smiling when I am riding it, so I guess it will work.

It looks a lot different when you get it oiled up! :)

Here are the tapadero's for it. They will get used in spring, winter and fall. Warmth and a way to spook calves when you are sorting. Also, the guy on the colt next to you, can get his colt untracked, when you pop these at him, with your feet!

hey saddle looks great but we're kinda wanderin' where's the holster for the dart gun  keep up the great work hope to make it up there in a few weeks to see ya take to ya later

Lookin good, JB!!!!!!! I love what you can do with a hunk of leather!

I have a ? for ya.........

Al's new (to him) saddle used to have silver lacing on the cantle, but it somehow disappeared along with a few other things, our feedstore guy said (Al got the saddle from him)......Would you by chance have any extra laying around that I could get from you, to redo it? Thanks!

Very nice saddle, Jinglebob. Sounds like you fellers had a good time at the Missouri Valley doings. I had to try some of your Red Bull concoction, and it's baaaad stuff. Guess I'll stick to Mountain Dew for my caffeine kick.

Hope you have air-conditioning in your saddle shop.

Sorry ranchy, I never use the stuff, so I don't know where you'd get any. Maybe another saddle maker who makes saddles with all that silver ribbon stuff on it. My saddles got stamping and silver concho's, and maybe some rawhide work. I suppose if a customer wanted some, I'd have to do some checking and see if i could find some.

Very nice, Jinglebob. Your tooling looks great.

I really like the color of the saddle, too. Do you use leather dye or a stain or how do you get that particular color?

On new saddles, what do you suggest they be treated with right
off the bat?
I just used neetsfoot oil on this one. On a new saddle of mine, you don't need to use anything for awhile. Maybe some oil once or twice a year, depending on how wet or dry it is. I wouldn't hazard a guess on anyone elses. Ask the guy who made it. He'd know.

I like pure neetsfoot or Skidemores leather cream, depending on how stiff the leather is. All I use on boots is Skidemores. It's great stuff and isn't that expensive when you buy it in large quantities. He lives in Lairime, Wyo. All the best leathershops have it.

That Red bull is the kick start of the old drunks-or the college kids that are nursing a hangover- I've seen some of them head to the waterhole at opening time and get a double shot of bar whiskey or whatever mixed in with a can of Red Bull to get their heart restarted and their eyes opened......Now thats being tough
