Is everybody watching-it's on late at night on OLN up here. Chad Ferley is sure an unlucky son of a gun-he got by a tough horse than got stepped on and broke his femur. Rod Hay has won $28,000 in two days so he's making a charge. Seems to be alot of rerides this year for some reason but some great stock too. That guy who got hung upside down in the calf roping escaped a pretty bad storm-hope that horse got an extra rub for staying calm.

I keep falling asleep watching it so have it recording....Grandma is not happy about Ferley- as he was her SB rider on Fantasy Rodeo team... :(

There sure were a lot of empty saddles last night as only 5 guys got their saddle broncs covered.....

I watched last night, saw the guy that got hung up and drug down the fence, they said he may have hit his arm on the panel. But I never heard em say if he was ok or not, and gets to keep ridin. (I was multi taskin while watchin, I know...hard to believe I can do that) LOL

Sure had a tight bunch of barrel racers too. Gotta pull for Brittany Pozzi-Pharr....she's from not too far from us, and came into the finals as the favorite.

I haven't got to watch any of the finals. quite a few Nebraskans or former Nebraskans on there, including one I graduated HS with, from Valentine.

What is there point, of rerunning it right afterwards
Round 1 Started at 10:00 PM ended 12:30AM, replay started at 12:30AM to whenever

Well I'll have every perf taped if anyone wants to have an NFR marathon lol. I sure miss Rod Warren being there to ride them all. The bulls were sure average last night-nothing like the saddle broncs. I don't what I'd be prouder of Ty riding there one day or one of our horses making it lol. Maybe Ty riding one of our horses there lol.

Now THAT would be WAY YONDER COOL!!!!!!

no, that would be like insider trading..... someone would throw a fit!

imagine if it happened, Ty wins the buckle, and your horse does well also.
who would walk away with more cash?? Ty, or you and your horse?

I was just watching the replay now that I'm awake- and since its still 5 Below out.....It wasn't Ferley that broke his leg- it was Jeff Willert, one of the other SD boys....
Grandma still has a chance :D

Sorry bout my mistake-I've watched him get bucked off our own bulls at rodeos before lol. I've got a baby stud colt I've got high hopes for-hopefully the next Papa Smurf.

Its nice to see ol Benny Reynolds is again running the unsaddling pen out gate for the stock....I think this must be over 30 years now he's done that.....

This is the first year so far I have not watched one performance. It's on to late. :x

ME TOO! I wish we could convince them to run the previous performance in the afternoons like they use too for us...

I just found this prorodeo radio station that gives live updates....not as good as watching but can keep up some...

They aren't running the performances again the following morning?
Gee whiz. :???:  :P

My daughter and son in law are there now;' they said that Jeff Willert was stepped on, for sure. They had front row seats the first night, said they could lean over and pat the head horses on the butt when they faced. Someone gave them tickets and they couldn't believe they were front row seats.

Sure to bad about Jeff Willert. Chad Ferley`s have a tough start too. But last night`s bareback rideing had a real thrill too. I believe it was Justin McDaniel`s draw and the flank man took a nose dive into the chute when the horse left. Must have been a real good pull on the flank cuss I think they won the go on that one.

since the kids and I do not have cable or satellite, the "ex" has been DVR-ing the shows for the boys so they can watch it when they go visit daddy! watched a little myself and am pretty impressed so far...that Rod Hay is giving them a run for their money! I, myself, am pulling for either of the Tryan brothers in team roping and I like the Pozzi-Phar in barrel racing!! However, the nurse (and mother) in me cringes with each "wreck"!! OUCH!!!

I'm as big a fan of the broncs as the cowboys almost-it's too bad Pop A Top got soaked in the chute so bad-it's an adventure getting out on a Franklin Freshie for sure. Can't wait for 'Grated Coconut' etc to have their outs. Chad Ferley got lucky last night-he missed his horse out-it seems they're being a bit tougher at the chutes this year. That was pretty rich when the flag man got pulled in the chute for sure-I can feel his pain you hate to miss the flank on a good horse.

I woke up long enough to catch the flank man taking his spill... Wife has recorded it on the DVD (I still haven't figured out how to operate  ) so will watch the whole thing later today....

Good news is that the performance tonite is LIVE- on ESPN2 at 7PM Mountain time....

My son just called me- him and a bunch of his buddies (guy trip) are pulling out of town heading for the NFR...Their are 8 of them- driving to Billings today- flying out of Billings at 8 tonite on a direct flight to Vegas....

I was just telling my wife about Willerts break and that they did surgery at the UNLV Hospital on him (since she has taken many classes there- and trained with and know many of the UNLV staff)....She said you couldn't get hurt in a better place than Las Vegas- as the UNLV has one of the best sports medicine programs and sports orthepedic units in the world.....

Well Chad Ferley and Heath DeMoss don't need to look for Santa they got their presents tonight-Ferley missed out his horse again but they scored him anyway and Demoss scored 86 points on a horse he was half bucked off of for most the ride. Rod Hay is still hanging tough in the average. Man that styeer wrestler Joe Bell took a dirty old shot after getting bucked off into the chutes. Trevor Knowles showed everybody how to cowboy up for sure.
