Nice Day

It's been a day of relapsation.

Went to the Williams Lake cattle sale via the internet and now we'll take a trailer axle down to Anahim Lake for repair, get our mail and a part from the freight truck.

Likely stop at the neighbors for a card game and weather disCUSSion on the way home.

100 bales in the windrow and close to 900 still on the stump, Oct 1 here we come.

Did I mention it has reached a high of 3 celcius at 2 PM..........

Upper 80's here today flat tires on 2 tractors fixed one neglected the other.Baled a bit of hay and Jake knocked down another 100 bales worth. Were going to mow for the next two days then bale it all up, then all thats left is 20 acres of rocks with some hay splashed in.Haul bales, chop corn, fix fence, cut firewood, build corrals move cattle go elk hunting oh and I've got a trailer to build also all in the next 60 days. The meadows dried out here so were getting after them before a monsoon hits.Feels alot like last year rained all summer then quit and dry all fall and winter.Frost could hold off for 3 weeks then my corn will be mature.

It just started to rain here and i,, am hoping that it turns to snow :-) we are starting together cows tomorrow should be fun with horses slipping and sliding down the mountain

Today was the first day the air felt like the change of seasons was upon us. The cool air made me ponder the size of my wood pile. It did reach about 13 degrees though, so I guess I should consider myself lucky :D

That's pretty cool there Gcreek. We have luckily missed out on the frosts so far. That big old full moon hanging in the sky has me a little nervous but the forecast looks alright. I am just knocking down my oats greenfeed that was underseeded to alfalfa. The alfalfa looks good and the oats greenfeed will make some nice if the weather will give enough time between rains to get it dry.

Snow on the mountains all around us. It is -3 at 10:30 PM.

Mr' FH can fly to Vancouver and switch planes to Anahim Lake International there.

a few more morning's like that and you'll be able to cut into to the swamp land further  freeze dried hay, hmmm... how does that work

Wrapped up another 80 bales today some top quality bullfrog alfalfa. Doing good last year it was snowing and the ground was froze on this piece.Another 150 bales down to bale tomorrow and monday. I can see the end of haying it's getting close.A meadow we were trying to cut yesterday needs a few weeks of dry weather other wise we have 30 acres left to cut.
