Nice Surprise!!!

Your deer sure shed early up there. I saw several mulie bucks last night while checking the cows that still had their antlers. Seems the bigger bucks lose theirs later then the younger smaller ones. If I recall yours were shedding theirs in mid winter? We hunt for sheds around here also, usually with a tractor tire in stackyards. :x Glad theres money to be made off of them up there!

Ty actually gets asked to shed hunt for neighbors to keep horns out of tires for them-it's a pretty fun thing to do if you like walking miles-the little bugger always sees them a second before I do lol. We sold them to a good friend of ours he'll probably make 30% on them as he's well connected in the shed antler business. His best set brought $350 those are the ones Sara is holding on braevallivestock.com. Unless they are 150 inch sheds or better in good brown condition they are just sold by the pound. I've seen a few hundred dollars worth of sheds weathering at guys places-makes me cry lol. Really big singles-6 inch bases etc will bring not bad money too. He sold a huge set with 6 inch beams but about ten inches of beam was broke off from fighting so they weren't worth near as much but I thought they were kind of cool. Mule Deer sheds don't sell as well for some reason.
