Nice pictures Jassy.

What are we going to do with our old slide stackers? I have one similar to yours. It was a wooden one that over time was changed over to mostly steel. When I changed to bales in 1993, I figured that we'd drag out the slide once each year to put up the low ground, so the boys would see how it was done in the old days. Wouldn't you know, it's never moved since then?

It may have been a bleak day but you got some lovely photos anyway, Jassy. Frosting on the trees and horse- really pretty. Neat barn!

Ha!!!! I've lived where it snowed in the winter....even had some perdy bitter cold temps (Panhandle of Texas) Course I was a kid then..snow was FUN!!!

Then.....there was the trip to Idaho....-2 was cold enuff for me..Thankfully there wasn't much wind at all then. And my behind still got chapped. Don't know if it was because it was that cold, or if I half baked it standin in front of the woodstove in the cabin LOL

I'd love to come up to your place Jassy ........when it's warmer.

You've never really lived until you have done chores in -40 degree weather.

Denny,

You've never really lived until you've built fence in 120 degree weather with 100% humidity. :P

All things in moderation. :-)

LOL Soapweed....we always say we are gonna build fences durin this time of the year. Seems to never happen, because we are either puttin out hay, or fightin the mud, creeks full and can't cross to get to where there's fence that needs built, equipment gets major stuck... etc. So...it somehow always ends up bein in the summer time. No it's not always that hot. I've only seen it that hot here once. Few years back at our family reunion, all of us sitting out in the shade under a tree....and the thermometer read 124. One thang about the heat tho....you can always take clothes off.......in the bitter cold.....it don't matter how many clothes ya put on it's still cold.

I don't know Jersey..100 degrees with 90% humidity and no matter how little you wear it is still too darn hot. -10, put enough clothes on and it is not too bad (Well, as long as the wind isn't blowing).. I just cant handle the heat... 95+ with humidity and I am just worn out as soon as I step outside... Walking out in the cold is like a slap in the face... Walking out in the heat is like a punch in the gut.

I have to agree with Denny on this one...I can always put more layers on to stay warm...but I can't take enuff clothes off in your humidity to stay cool...lol
