Born a cowboy---bull legged and bald
rode my toy horse---when the cattle were called
sit'n in a saddle---now fifty and fat
still bald as a baby---and wear a cowboy hat
brandings in the fall---baby calves in the spring
hay'n in the summer---winter,chores will bring
love be'n outdoors---don't need a TV
i'll love this life---for an eternity
married a city girl---adopted a dog
built me a house---from a tree and a log
now i carry me a camera---for life is a pic
and cause i eat beef---i never get sick
pictures and memories---a life blessed by God
thru soapweeds and mountains---with my horse i will trod
born a cowboy---never to die
life is a legend---as big as the sky
