Went to the cow sale this morning and calf prices were so depressing there- I decided to go up and check on cows and see what I had for stubble left to graze...Took the new pocket size camera Grandma got me and was trying it out...
A 9 year old daughter of Galpin Tribute 830 # 13133018 -(son of Miner Tribute 705 ).......
Another 9 year old daughter of the same bull ( one of the best cowmakers I've had....This cow has 1/4 holstein (out of an old nurse cow)..
Another older Tribute cow and her calf..
This and the next picture are of a heifer that will never make it out of the 4 frame category- out of the double bred 6807 bull I had, and a little hereford cow- and her first calf...This is the one that if I had my druthers, I'd love to have 200 of- and as much as she hates dogs- I guarantee no coyote will ever get her calf...
Same heifer with her 600+ lb March steer calf
A raised 6807 bred yearling daughter..
The Cole Creek Goldmere-- Juanadamere yearling daughter my son picked up this spring- # 15822851
A Cole Creek Not Afraid 7S- Cole Creek Juanada yearling daugther # 15822801
The WCR Floret 749T # 15802668 ( Cole Creek Track Hunter 60R) yearling daughter I got from Whitney Creek Ranch- Taylor...In comparing her with some of my home raised heifers- I don't think she will be more than a 4 frame cow....
Altho several of you have accused me of losing my mind- this is to prove that after a foot of snow- and single digit temps-- we have dandelions blossoming and going to seed...
