rare treat for us Kansas folks, got to see the Northern Lights tonight...so beautiful. tried to explain it to my kids, they did not believe that the sun shining on Gcreeks bare head in Canada would produce a brilliant light show for us......

Actually the Gceeks as you calll them, feel it is been beamed from the south because the do glitter with no substance.

They were quite bright here in southern Ontario but not coloured like in some places. Haven't seen them in years.

They were in the south for us. Best ones in a long while too. 
Sometimes, if you get some directly overhead, they do this swirly thing that's just amazing.
