Members of the Iowa State Block and Bridle Club, from Ames, Iowa. They are very nice young men and ladies, and we enjoyed
having them stop by.

Sparky and his bride drove out in their new automowilliam. It is a 1930 Model A Ford car, with only 35,400 actual miles.
It still has the original spark plugs, and the owner's manual is still with it. There is also an owner's manual for the air pump
that it comes with. He is a delighted fellow with his find. :-)

Another nice set of pics, thanks!

Amazing find on that car! Eighty years old and still original with that few miles, he's got a treasure. Don't mean to hijack the thread, but please refer Sparky to the Model A Ford Club of America (mafca.com) for some reference books and information. Great organization, I do some work for them on their magazine.

Sweet tater's neice and brother I'll bet. There sure is a resemblance!

Thumbs up on Sparky's wheels

Close, but no cigar. This is Sweet Potato's biological dad and the youngest of his daughters. We really enjoyed having the two of them visit the Sandhills, and it was fun comparing ranching in Nebraska to farming in Idaho. We had earlier met him and his wife, and their four charming daughters a year and a half ago, at the wedding of the Kosmo Kid and Sweet Potato in Idaho.

This maybe explains things a bit better. It was posted on August 23, 2009.

Last evening there was a message on our answering machine from Shortgrass. He and Jan happen to be in Kansas this week-end, without access to a computer. He indicated if I felt inspired maybe God could come up with a Good Sunday Mornin' message and use me to tell it.

A young lady became pregnant when she was 16 years old. Her boy friend, the father of the baby was just 15. The young couple chose not to get married at such a tender age, but the girl decided to have the baby and put it up for adoption. When a cute bouncing baby girl arrived on the scene, the mother helped determine which couple adopted her baby. The girl was raised by very loving supportive parents and grew up with a younger sister and brother, both of which she adored. Life was good.

The baby girl grew up surrounded by a loving extended family. She knew her biological mother and saw her occasionally through the years. They kept in touch with letters and phone calls.

Fast forward 18 years. The young lady and her biological grandmother journeyed from Idaho to Nebraska to spend a week in June visiting the girl's biological mother. The tourists took in a local event, where the girl was introduced to a young cowboy. The two seemed to instantly hit it off and managed to see each other three more times during the short week she was in Nebraska. In August, the cowboy scraped together some summer wages to ride an airplane to Idaho to visit his new sweetie. They pined away the next year while both were seniors in high school living 1100 miles apart. They attended the same junior college for two years, and were both awarded associate degrees at graduation. A month later they were married at a wonderful ceremony in Idaho.

Surely God had His Hand in how this all came together, for the Kosmo Kid to meet and marry his Idaho Sweet Potato. :-)

Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Have a Good Sunday Mornin' and a great rest of the week. :-)
