Obese considered handicapped?

Many airlines now will give obese people a FREE extra seat. The claim is that they are handicapped, this being under the handicapped laws of today.

Now, with the crowded planes of today that means that someone of smaller size will get bumped off.

This will cause the lame airlines to loose even more money.

Is this fair to the truly physically ( missing arms/legs/etc) handicapped?

Is this fair to people who are not obese and get bumped due to this new guideline?

Some info on the ruling:

Being Handicap by being obese just so you can get a little sticker to park at the door of the local supermarket? Just don't make sense.

Should be against the law.

I have no problem with the elderly or someone with a true disability but OBESE is not one of them.

Well thats my 2 cents worth.
