The bus leaves at noon for Foam Lake-I think it's a little over six hours away-they play at noon Saturday. This should be interesting as both teams really don't know much about each other-I have a feeling that whoever has the best run defence might just win. The boys had a walk through practice last night-then watched the Delisle game film-I think they're just right as far as mental prep. goes.

Tell the kids to give 'em hell!!!

Good luck to them. I am so impressed with the maturity of your kids, NR. I have no doubt, given the opportunity to have a party like your guys did, our hometown team would have went boozing. I am impressed their team leaders said that it wasn't a good idea, and they didn't have one.

That shows true leadership and maturity, and in my book that makes them winners....more so than winning on the ice, field, or court.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Cheers---

TTB

There's four of my hockey players on the team and they have a 10 P:M curfew the night before a game-they weren't happy about that. I guess a couple players went to the shindig but didn't go overboard-they were bright eyed and bushytailed at practice next day. I just didn't want it turning into a team debacle. The boys aren't saints by any means but they are a pretty good bunch of kids. The coaches have done a great job of building team chemistry-kids that play for each other can defeat more talent alot of times.

Gee ya think? (Sorry I had to rib the Canadian.) You're right about blood and guts football.

Good luck - this is a special time.

ACS as you should know fear isn't in our vocabulary and you really shouldn't trash talk unless your suiting up. I watched Humboldt's game film last night and they'll be in tough against Unity they are a very good football team. We had a terrible first half today against Foam Lake-lost our main running back on the second play and then things went downhill from there. We dug ourselves a 42-0 hole-4 touchdowns on turnovers in the first half. We played better in the second half-Ty scored a touchdown but we got beat 52-12. They are a big experienced team with alot of talent but they lack the class from the coaches to be true champions. They speared one of rookies with a late hit in the fourth quarter-the player got kicked out which probably saved his chickens...t life-the vets were ready. Our guy got ambulanced out but he's going to be ok-it didn't look very good at the time it looked like a broken neck. Unless Humboldt upsets Unity I'm going to take real pleasure in them spanking Foam Lake next weekend. Foam Lake whipped us good but there's a busload of kids gonna play their guts out next year to get another crack at them.

Northern, sorry to hear about the loss. Well them boys had a heck of a season they have alot to be proud of! BTW I have had pancakes twice since leaving your place and they were very disapointing to say the least, Meagan ruined me for life! those were the best cakes I ever ate. With cooking like that there is a very long string of ponies future! thanks again, The family gets home tonight. I will pm you later, Shawn

Well Megan's Dad married a good cook lol. Ty is beat up-three football games and a hockey game in the last week-his knee is pretty sore. Be nice to get your crew home for sure.
