Honestly I am not sure if I want to talk about the cats because it is too embarassing to have that many in the house. They are afraid of strangers so they disappear every time I have visitors, thus I can usually pretend that there would be no more than one cat (cat #4, not in the picture). ;-)
However - I foster cats, take litters home from ranches, litter box train and tame them and eventually give them away to new homes. This takes place in an old school house that I have on my property, not in my house!
Unfortunately people like to take kittens, but when the cats get older it's almost impossible to find homes for them. Usually I spay/neuter the older ones and they stick around as barn cats, but eventually they disappear (trigger happy neighbors, bobcats, coyotes). These three sneaked their way into my heart and eventually into my house ... and seriuosly - I hate to be the crazy ol' cat lady!

... and don't forget the dogs!
And, no, my house does not smell like cats, but I sure do a lot of vaccuum cleaning and litter box cleaning!

Faster horses, the picture above the hats is a colored pencil drawing by Muriel Klingbeil, who is a good friend of ours. It is a print, numbered 15 out of 100. She does very nice oil paintings and bronzes also. Her husband, Willis Klingbeil, was quite into cutting horses during his lifetime, but has since passed on. At one time, Klingbeils lived at Sayre, Oklahoma, and were neighbors and friends of the great horseman, Walter Merrick. We treasure the abilities of Muriel Klingbeil and our friendship with her. Gee, I'm starting to sound like Reader 2, in knowing somebody who knows somebody. All this name dropping is kind of fun.
