Hahaha!

How can anyone be so naive as to think that R-CALF had anything to do with higher cattle prices.

We had higher cattle prices DESPITE R-CALF.  What more proof does anyone need than the fact that cattle prices continued to rise after the Canadian border was opened to boxed beef and then again after the Canadian border was opened to live cattle.

FACT: FEEDER CATTLE PRICES WERE HIGHER THIS YEAR WITH AN OPENED CANADIAN BORDER THAN THEY WERE LAST YEAR WITH A CLOSED CANADIAN BORDER.

That is an absolute undeniable fact.

What Pitts doesn't tell you is where beef demand would have been without the beef checkoff.

Hey Sandbag, why don't you lecture Pitts on isolating a single factor and attributing the cattle markets to it (checkoff)?  Where's the consistancy in your arguments you damn hypocrite?

Pitts is nothing more than an LMA mouth piece.  Same song and dance that other industry blamers sing and dance to.

What's more important than what this article tells you is what it doesn't tell you.  That's the problem with these industry blamers.  They don't have a clue what factors really do affect cattle prices.
