In Fort Robinson Nebraska near Chadron there is some really cool old rock barns similar to that one. My sister used to work there and one time we visted and sorta took the tour and saw them all. I forget all the history and that stuff on them, but none the less they were very neat. I'm sure Soapweed or someone from near there can say more about em.....

Oh but my vote goes to Number 1, just cuz I like the country around it. I tend to vote for the country the object in the picture is sitting :lol:

have a friend who purchased a small chunk of land in sw montana that had a barn on the property just like the one in #3....her hubby wanted it torn down "to sell the valuable barnwood", but she refused and remodeled the inside and now rents it out as a very, very large "apartment"...the floor plan is wide open except the bathroom and the 2 sleeping areas!! Really amazing, these old places!!
Here is a picture of one of the 88 Bicentennial barns here in ohio.
While traveling thru ohio you can see these barns all along the main roads. One in each county. This barn sets along state route 36 in Coshocton county. The same feller painted them all for the 200th b-day of the state.
I have pictures of about 12 of them but this is my favorite and not too far from home. I do believe that 2 of the barns have burnt, I don't remember which counties though.

Number 6 shows the pic of a crappy old cut stone barn. Ugly thing!

I"m thinkin #6, renovated, would make a really nice place to call home. I see a small balcony above on the second story, offa the master bedroom of course, bottom door would make a really cool front door entrance. Yeap.......I could live there
