This is from the ALLIANCE TIMES HERALD, January 2, 2016 edition.

During his long career as a cowboy, John Sibbit worked in many areas of the ranching industry including cattle production, rancher, feeder, cattle order buyer and auction house owner. He is a real cowboy in every sense of the word.

Sibbit had many colorful stories to tell. Below is one of his stories that brings laughter to a lot of people who read it. This story is entitled "Cornflakes."

We saddled our horses and went to town to the pool hall. While we were there, two men and one woman came in. They started trouble right away causing some fights. Just then the old town sheriff walked by and somebody called him in. He could see the fighting going on and he appointment me as a deputy to help him to take the two men and one woman to jail. We locked them up and the sheriff said, "I'll be up in the morning to bring you breakfast." The lady said, "You better bring me a box of Kotex as well." The sheriff looked at the woman and said, "To hell with you. You can eat cornflakes like the rest of them."
