Worked 300 pairs yesterday. As we calved heifers we dumped them into the Morrison Meadow bunch.
split the calves off, sorted the cows 3 ways and then turned the calves the respective ways as they were branded. A good reason for tagging!
Started after barn chores were done and a few young pairs were moved out of the way. Debbie a hired guy and myself for most of the day. Neighbor gal was here for a few hours as she is getting ready for her branding on Sunday.
Went well but we finished branding at the last light of 10 PM and then a 1/2 hour to feed. supper at 11.
I believe we will sort at calving next year.........
We all look and feel like a runaway truck got all of us today. :lol:
Grass is here early this year, will save about 10 days hay.
