The heifer that was down for about 10 days due to calving injury decided that laying on a straw pile and having feed and water hand delivered wasn't good enough so got up and walked the 1/2 mile up hill to the feed ground to be with the pairs and compete for food.
And the two blind calves we've been messing with seem to have their sight back. Turns out there are things penicillin and Nuflor aren't the answer for. Apparently, according to the vet, their molecular structure is big enough that they can't get to some hard to get at areas of infection. A few shots of Triveteran and the big white spots in the middle of their eyes shrank down significantly and now they appear to have the gift of sight. I guess the infections probably entered through the navel (although the navels weren't infected) and traveled into the eyes. First time I'd seen that.
