One of my better tries at poetry/adding photo didn't work/can't delete post

I wrote this because of our neighbor, Dan.
If you have any poems you wrote, please feel free to add them here.
(I so enjoy Leanin' H poems and I've always liked poetry myself.
My dad, he could make rhymes and then he would really laugh, so I guess poems
remind me of him. Mostly this was a fun one from years back that I had fun with.
I can't recall how or where I took the photo. I guess it doesn't matter. I did a weekly
column in a newspaper I worked for and this ran in my column. I hope it makes
you laugh.

There once was fisherman named Dan
Cold icy water he could not stand
As the river ran its course
He fished from the back of his horse
Saying "Pedro's the best in the land."

EDITED: Well, phooey, why didn't the photo show up?
Without the photo this poem is meaningless. 😕
Says "image file type is invalid."
Anyone have any suggestions?

Convert the photo to jpeg. Nice limerick poem.

There was an old lady best known as Kat
Ridin the range she donned a flat brimmed hat
She was a Republican rancher night and day
What more could one say
Except after death she voted Democrat


There was a ranch hand named Tex from Texas
That suffered confusion about the two sexes
During castration his curiousty he couldn't stand
So in a heated moment on himself he snapped a band
And now that hand is known state wide as Lex or Lexis

The crippled up ol fart could hardly stand
His wife called him foolish and silly
Because without teeth he lived on beer and chili
And instead of bulls he spent his days ridin the can

There was an old team roper with very tight britches
So dadgummed tight they almost ripped the stiches
He was a city slicker that threw with a jerk
And poorly dallied with an arrogrant smirk
And rode the rainbow parade with the bitches

When St Peter inquired, she with word salad began to cuss
Simply asking if she wanted a brain
Confused, she stammed thinking he said train
Replied, "No thanks, I'll take the yellow school bus"

Even if the high glass ceiling is left in a state of shatter
Many votes for her will leave this country in big tatter

We haven't heard from him for a while. I wonder if he attended the hall of fame ceremony a few weeks ago. I am sure he would have wanted to rub shoulders with JD. Being a team rope and kind of local.

If your photo is on your phone or computer, you need to save it to jpeg then try that type.
