One Room Country Schools

I went to a two room school in my early school days. One room had kindergarten, first and second grade. The other room had 3rd,4th,5th and 6th grade. In those days in the early 60's the school had 57 kids,it now has 250. I can remember when we went from this country school to high school which had 800 kids, the town kids were pretty tough on us country kids. I hated high school, couldn't wait to leave.
I went to high school in a smallish city called Grafton. They actually have a sister city link with Grafton ?North Dakota.

There must be hundreds of towns named Grafton in the USA. We had relatives from Grafton Vermont which became the name of towns as they and friends trekked across the country. Actually seems the name came from their Mass. relatives prior to that and probably from Britain first.
