Opinions on bow? (BowTech Liberty)

Well, I have been saving my pay cheques for the last while, and I now have enough to get a new bow, so I went into town to the local archery dealer. He gave me a quote on the 2007 Liberty. All set up with a whisker biscuit rest, sights, D loop, release, quiver, stabalizers, 12 arrows, and a coupon for free archery lessons, whch I will be giving to Hillary, for $650.

What does everyone think about this bow?
Any experiences?

Most bows are pretty good so that price sounds good-the whisker biscuit is a great rest for hunting-nothing sucks worse than losing an arrow of your rest when the deer is coming in. are you shooting carbons or aluminum arrows?

I would go with a drop-away rest by Trophy Ridge or NAP. A wisker bisket is a little less forgiving when tuning your bow and will loosen a fletch or two over time. Just my opinion though. When your flippin' sticks it's all great!!! :wink:

You have to use the right fletch with the whisker biscuits-your archery guy should know which ones work best-I think we use bohning on our arrows. Phone Battleford Bait and Tackle if yopur guy doesn't which fletch to use.

I shoot carbon arrows, the Carbon Rebel 6075's.

Right now I just have the fletching that comes on the arrows, but I am going to Wholesale this weekend possibly so I'll ask there too.

north Pro Sports is a good little shop in Sutherland at Saskatoon. At least you might find a clerk not like wholesale some days lol.

Don't mean to hi-jack this post but what do ya'll think about the super short quick twist solid plastic vanes? Saw some at a sports show and they were sure talkin' em up. And do ya like mechanical or fixed broadheads? I love G5 montecs fixed blade personally.

Montec G5's are the only broadhead we'll use-you can drill one through both shoulders of a moose or black bear.

I'm haven't rebowed in 20+ years so all I can say on that is the Mathews shoot mighty nice and I tried a Darton that was good...
fixed blade broadheads are the answer for me-bin shootin bear razors since day 2 and have never had a trubby.

truth is,any bow thats tuned proper will get the job done...it's all about preference and what you're comfortable with.
