ORTHENE - absolute death for ants, red, black or multicolored including fireants.

Someone gave us a bunch of the stuff to control grasshoppers in wheat. Didn't work very well on hoppers, but for ants - wow.

Gave some to son in Georgia, sister in Texas, Controlled the firemants like nothing else.

Proplem is that you can only kill your fireants, neighbors and everyone else would have to cooperate to do much good.

I don't drink but I still got to know, What is a mojito and how does one make it.
As for killing fire aints. ORTHENE works but they will be right back so you have to treat every hill about oncs a month. ANDROS works better but it is not as fast. You can buy it in 50 pound bags and broadcast it in pastures and hay fields. It will knock them way back for a few years. I also use it in the yard most every spring and it cleans them up for the summer.
