It's a guess, but I would think at least 10,000. Ulupalaku Ranch 3000, Haleakala Ranch 3000-5000, Kaupo Ranch 1500-2000, Kaonoulu 1000, Hana Ranch 500 plus all the small ranchs and back yard cows.

These numbers are for the county of maui which are the islands of Maui, Lanai, and Molokai. Most of the production is on maui.
