This probably isn't where this topic should go, but I have heard it mentioned here before. I had the opportunity to attend the PBR in Springfield, MO this weekend and I must say it was an outstanding show. Rookie Cody Johnson won the show covering 5 bulls and local favorite L.J. Jenkins had a disappointing weekend and fell out of the #1 spot.

I will say I will attend next year and years to come if they continue to host the event. For anyone that hasn't been if it's in your area make plans to attend, I give it 2 thumbs up.

It's no Cowboys 2000 though! :D :D Jokin! Ever go there?
Was headed there for a birthday when I was in college but got sick and realized the man upstairs was sending me a msg! Never went there or Midnight hodeo.

I got to haul a bull there right before they closed down and I moved here. I thought it had a neat atmosphere.

I went to a PBR deal there in Springfield, but I believe it was a challenger deal...still had a lot of top guys there thought and Justin McKee announcing(before they got rid of him). I think they were trying it out at that time to see about the big show coming, but I could be wrong.

Seeing the PBR in vegas is neat. I think it is neat to be at something like Vegas with a ton of cowboy hats everywhere and like minded people. I spent hours just watching all the bulls I had seen on tv out in the pens.

I went to a bucking bull sale the next day after seeing one in KC in Shurburn, MN without ever going to sleep. It was warm here when I left here, driving snow up there, I froze and was a little tired.

Been to a couple others....pretty neat!

I watch the PBR as often as i get the chance. Went to the NFR several times and got on a few bulls at the rough stock sale. Now that our kids are older, we are gonna start going back, but my riding days are on the sunny slopes of long ago. :D

Dare I ask what Cowboys 2000 is?

It was a dance club where they rode bulls.

Yep. Of course Billy Bob's in Fort Worth is a neater bar, but I kinda liked the way they bucked bulls better at Cowboys 2000...I always went on cowboy night. That place would be packed with cowboys and cowgirls. It was just a great big building....bar and restrooms on the east side....dance floor on the south side and an elevated arena just big enough to buck bulls on the north side....all just a big open area.

The arena would be dark, then 2 or 3 times a night....a certain song would blare, the lights would come on over the arena and everyone knew it was bucking bulls time. The bulls bucked at almost eye level standing....you could stand on three sides of the arena and get right next to it....there was a barrier around it you could put your drinks on. They usually had quite a few riders. They'd buck some and then everyone would go back to shaking it until the next time. I believe they would have two rounds and then a third one for a finals.

You could be line dancing one minute, then getting your grove on to shake your laffy taffy and other hip-hop songs another there...lol....I may have done the lawn mower and the sprinkler a time or two. I was a baggy pants wearing city kid for quite a few years in my life....lol. I always thought it would be neat to have a restuarant/bar and buck bulls there.
